What you'll do

As a procurement engineer, you'll be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a technical background, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.

  • Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for engineering projects
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery timelines
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and specifications
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or delays to minimize disruptions
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on criteria such as cost, quality, and reliability
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in procurement operations

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years proven experience in procurement preferably in a manufacturing or corporate setting.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to establish and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Understanding of engineering specifications and technical requirements for materials and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in procurement.
