Procurement Officer Job Description

The primary role of a Procurement Officer is to facilitate the acquisition of goods and services in support of site operations.

  • Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and administering contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update manpower sheets and handle payment summaries for site workers.
  • Source and procure materials for projects requested by the Site Engineer.
  • Source and procure manpower for projects requested by the Site Engineer.
  • Encode and document turnovered receipts.
  • Record project expenses through the procurement process.
  • Record inventory of assets on project sites.
  • Support Liaison officers with assigned schedules and tasks.
  • Perform other function-related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills.
  • Problem-solving ability with diplomacy and sound judgment.
  • Able to work in a team environment on standard and major projects.
  • Willingness to travel and be mobile.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, public speaking skills, tact, and diplomacy when communicating with external resources.
