HR Manager Compensation and Benefits

RAYOMAR MANAGEMENT, INC. was established in 1980 as an Investment and Management Company. Over the past three decades, Rayomar has organized and acquired several companies in the sectors of shipping, crewing, logistics, trade, and services, managing them for long-term growth.
Our main thrusts are in the transportation/logistics fields where our people have many years of experience, thus providing our group of companies a strong competitive advantage. We provide services in shipping, crewing, trucking, warehousing, sea and air freight forwarding, and domestic distribution, giving us the ability to offer our customers a total logistics solution.
JOB OBJECTIVES:
- To oversee administration, documentation, and processing of employee benefits.
- To oversee the preparation and check the accuracy of Appointment Letters/Personnel Change Notices (PCNS) for any employee position movement such as transfer, promotion, demotion, increases in salary, etc.
- To provide direct assistance to the Group Head-Human Resources regarding research on wages/compensation surveys, benefits improvement, and policy making.
- To ensure that salary distortions are addressed/corrected in a timely manner.
- To oversee the effective administration of all sports and social activities of Team Rayomar.
- To liaise with external service providers to achieve successful agreements in the areas of coverage of the section.
- To effectively respond to complex queries and manage all aspects of issues across the employee life cycle such as discipline, benefits, interpersonal relation issues, etc.
- To be the HR champion on all matters pertaining to policy development, process formulation, understanding changes in legislation, and implementing them within the organization.
- To oversee the timely and effective implementation of various HR Benefits programs such as Employee Vaccination, Blood Letting, Annual Physical Examination, and Executive Check-up.
- To liaise with external bodies as necessary to improve/update policies that affect areas of responsibility and ensure that the organization is up-to-date on market trends.
- To develop process improvements for all aspects of the section's area of coverage, monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- To handle effective supervision of subordinates.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- Coordinates with representatives of HMO, life insurance, and insurance brokers regarding any claims that may arise against our insurance policies.
- Coordinates with OFII's union officers regarding discipline issues and PBP inquiries.
- Coordinates with DOLE representatives on matters related to Employee Relations.
- Coordinates with OFII's department managers regarding matters pertaining to the PBP.
- Coordinates with representatives of accredited financial institutions on matters concerning the Employees' Salary Loan.
- Coordinates with committee members/HR company representatives in the implementation of group activities.
- Coordinates with representatives of PMAP and other professional study institutions for various research work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: College degree in BS Commerce major in Business Management, Human Resources Management, AB or BS Psychology.
- Work Experience: At least five (5) years experience in related HR functions such as Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Job Architecture/Job Evaluation, and Employee/Industrial Relations, three (3) years of which is at a managerial level.
