
IT Project Manager

The IT Project Manager is responsible for handling technology-related projects from end to end (scoping, implementation, and post-mortem analysis). He/she will be responsible for creating and updating project requirements, technical details, timelines, and related documentation.
Essential Functions- The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing the successful completion of IT projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- For a new client launch/implementation, the IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the IT aspects of the project, from scoping to setup to technology and user acceptance testing (UAT). May manage up to 6 new client projects concurrently and supported by an overall Project Manager.
- The IT Project Manager is the main point of contact for all technology-related requirements of the project, assisting the overall Project Manager and working closely with the internal and external teams to ensure a successful project outcome.
- Monitor, assess, and manage project progress and timelines, ensuring that commitments are met.
- Identify, assess the impact, and resolve project risks and issues.
- Experience in managing IT Projects such as telephony migration, IT setup for new sites and/or new client implementation (at least 1 year, for both internal and external candidates).
- Project management experience in a BPO setting (at least 3 years).
- Computer Science, IT/Technology, Computer Applications, Engineering graduates preferred.
- Communication Skills: IT Project Managers interact with many individuals throughout the lifecycle of the project, such as the Project Manager, internal and external/client stakeholders. For this reason, the IT Project Manager must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Problem-solving Skills: Projects will have risks, issues, and challenges throughout the transition period. The IT Project Manager must exhibit problem-solving skills that will allow him/her to quickly come up with solutions and strategies.
- Change Management Skills: Changes often happen in projects during the execution stage. The IT Project Manager must be able to adapt to these changes and also assess the impact of these changes to the project's scope, cost, timelines, and quality of delivery.
- Organizational Skills: Project coordination is demanding work, as such organizational skills such as time management, delegation, planning, goal-setting, and decision-making are critical skills.
- Knowledge of IT concepts and basic operating principles of data communication and information systems hardware and software.
- 2-3 years of experience in Project Management or a similar role.
- Solid grasp of Project Management methodologies.
- Detail-oriented and diligent with documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain good relationships with other team members and project stakeholders.
