The Merchandising Product Information & Systems Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate product information across all systems. This role owns the setup, auditing, and ongoing maintenance of all PIM (product item master) records and associated product data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple platforms. The Specialist partners with vendors and internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and organize product specifications, images, pricing, and more, while ensuring timely updates to digital and in-store systems. Additionally, the role supports pricing changes, promotional execution, and manages the company's internal tagging system for store price tags.
Responsibilities- Create and maintain item master records in ERP/PIM systems, including item descriptions, SKUs, vendor codes, pricing, and cost.
- Coordinate product onboarding and SKU setup to ensure accurate and timely product availability in all critical systems.
- Organize and maintain product specifications, images, descriptions, and compliance documents.
- Own product lifecycle changes including new item setup, discontinuations, and replacements.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to gather and verify product data and imagery.
- Ensure timely updates to digital and print catalogs, signage databases, and in-store systems.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and correct data discrepancies across platforms.
- Assist with regular and promotional pricing changes, ensuring accurate product data preparation.
- Support promotional pricing execution in partnership with merchandising and marketing teams.
- Manage the internal product tagging system in partnership with the VIA team to ensure accurate categorization and searchability.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as requested.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in merchandising operations, product data management, or related role.
- Experience with SKU and product lifecycle management.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate Excel skills preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.
The Merchandising Product Information & Systems Specialist will work a minimum of 25 hours per week. The number of hours may increase during specific events, holidays, or blackout periods, or to meet other business needs.
