Accountant Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to work on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a solid understanding of billing, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Billing & Invoicing:
    • Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and within the agreed timeframe.
    • Maintain compliance with relevant tax regulations and company policies.
    • Properly document all billing records for future reference.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments efficiently.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies.
    • Manage payment schedules to ensure timely disbursements.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments effectively.
    • Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and address these promptly.
    • Prepare aging reports and escalate overdue accounts as necessary.
  • Debt Follow-Up:
    • Contact clients with overdue invoices via phone, email, or official letters.
    • Maintain a log of collection activities and customer communications.
    • Collaborate with sales or legal teams on complex or delinquent accounts.
  • Reconciliation:
    • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and sub-ledgers.
    • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.

The selected candidate will work independently and as part of a team, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills for success in this role. Proficiency in accounting software and intermediate to advanced Excel skills are also essential.
