Overview

Work Set up: Hybrid

The HR Assistant Manager overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for implementing HR policies, managing recruitment and onboarding, handling employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company regulations. The Assistant HR Manager also plays a key role in talent development, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives. By fostering a positive work environment, they contribute to the overall success of the organization while aligning HR strategies with business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Implement HR policies and procedures in line with operational strategies, including the development and implementation plans for process and system changes.
  • Facilitate the Business Planning process in the department/assigned teams.
  • Cascade and implement government-m mandated policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Cascade and implement corporate HR policies, guidelines and procedures approved by management.
  • Presents/Communicates/Meets with all levels in the company including other concerned stakeholders to produce timely, efficient, and accurate HR reports.
  • Determine resources needed by the department/assigned teams and communicate for management approval.
  • Oversee HR activities in key areas: Recruitment and Onboarding, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Engagement, Labor Relations, and Performance Management.
  • Oversee recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding and ensure timely documentation and issue of appointment letters/contracts.
  • Administer company and government benefits and conduct Compensation and Benefits studies; ensure proper filing and security of personnel records.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate employee engagement programs and participate in engagement events.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and serve as the organization's employee relations specialist.
  • Prepare quarterly performance review summaries and recommend programs/interventions to improve productivity; mediate performance-related issues and maintain effective training programs.
  • Establish tools, systems, and methods to discover and prevent fraud/irregularities; monitor and improve department processes for efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong background in HR operations, employee relations, and talent management.
  • Solid knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, and employee engagement.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related tools and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
