Information Technology Service Desk Technician

Job Overview:
The IT Service Desk Technician is responsible for supporting the IT service desk activities across the Navigator Gas offices to provide 1st and 2nd line support to analyze and diagnose any IT-related ticket to find a viable solution.
The IT Service Desk Technician reports to the IT Service Desk Supervisor based in Manila.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of software used throughout the company.
- Maintaining and supporting workstations, laptops, thin clients, printers, scanners, phones, mobile devices, and related equipment.
- Performing new PC setup, deployments, and hardware/software upgrades to existing computer equipment as needed.
- Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Walking the customer through the problem-solving process and providing a solution based on the issue and details.
- Directing unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel and passing on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team.
- Identifying and suggesting possible improvements in procedures.
- Daily work with the ticketing system, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange server, Office 365, Citrix server, and Windows server.
- Record, track and monitor service requests & incidents using the ticketing system.
- Manage inventory and purchase requests.
- 24x7 on-call availability.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience working in an IT support role.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or any computer science course.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting software, network, and hardware.
- Perform PC setup and deployment to computer equipment.
- Perform remote troubleshooting and provide solutions.
- Able to work on shifting schedules.
- Understanding of cloud service principles.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Able to communicate in English both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of ITIL-based ticketing system.
- Experience in customer service would be a plus.
