JOB TITLE: Legal Advisor

REPORTING TO: Senior Manager: Legal and Corporate Governance

JOB GRADE: D1 Minimum Midpoint

LOCATION: Seda National Office

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide legal advisory services to various Seda Business Units, Board Committees and the Board which includes implementing the legal and corporate governance strategy, policies and procedures.

Key Performance Areas
  • Provide legal advisory services
  • Provide policy and legal submissions review support services
  • Conduct legal research and keep abreast of relevant legal information
  • Provide contract management services
Required Minimum Education
  • Matric (NQF Level 4) and a four (4) year qualification in Law
  • Admission as an attorney/advocate will be added advantage
Required Work Experience
  • 6-8 year's experience in similar position/Attorney/Advocate
  • Knowledge of public sector prescripts
  • Knowledge of corporate governance
  • Knowledge of Board management services
