Job SummaryWe are looking for driven and experienced Business Development Managers to lead B2B sales efforts and expand our reach in the engineered bamboo market. This role involves working with manufacturers, distributors, and key decision-makers who are often hard to reach. The ideal candidate thrives in relationship-based selling, has a strong network, and is motivated by results rather than high base salaries.
The Business Development Manager will focus on expanding our customer base, developing sales strategies, and closing high-value deals with long sales cycles. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, independent, and resilient in pursuing opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and commercial buyers in industries that use engineered bamboo products.
- Build a pipeline of B2B customers and manage long-term sales cycles, ensuring follow-ups and relationship nurturing.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and sales opportunities.
- Work with the CEO and team to position Numat’s products competitively in SEA and international markets.
Negotiation & Closing Deals
- Develop and deliver persuasive sales pitches and presentations tailored to B2B clients.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and structuring of deals that are beneficial to both Numat and the buyer.
- Ensure smooth customer onboarding, order fulfillment, and after-sales support.
Networking & Business Partnerships
- Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events to expand business opportunities.
- Leverage existing networks to establish strategic partnerships and distribution channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials, case studies, and targeted campaigns.
- Self-starter with proven experience in B2B sales (minimum 5 years).
- Comfortable dealing with manufacturers, distributors, and high-level decision-makers.
- Experienced in longer sales cycles and relationship-based selling.
- Motivated by results and commissions, not high base salaries.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- This role requires resilience, persistence, and adaptability.
- Preferably has experience in raw materials, construction, furniture, or industrial products.
