Associate, Client Support (Financial Institutions Group) role at S&P Global involves being one of the main contacts of clients, providing support to maximize use of the product. Day-to-day, the associate addresses client questions and requests about the platform (S&P Capital IQ Pro) and the FIG (Financial Institutions Group) data set, and escalates issues to other teams as needed. They communicate with internal content teams, account management, and sales.

The Role: The role focuses on delivering high-quality product support and serving as the client liaison to understand client needs and relay feedback to the company.

The Impact: The role directly affects the client’s perception of the company’s quality through the level of support provided. Associates interact with clients, relay feedback, and understand client needs to inform platform development. They are trained to become product experts and may explore opportunities in product management/content, account management, and sales through day-to-day client interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Functionality – consult with clients on the best and most efficient way to achieve quality results (e.g., navigating the platform or maximizing product use)
  • Data – explain data collection processes and methodologies behind calculations (e.g., how data was collected and how financial calculations were derived) to build client confidence
  • Problem-solving – provide creative solutions to meet customers’ needs
  • Excel modeling – assist clients in building financial models (ad hoc task, not the main responsibility)
  • Specialization and training – opportunities to specialize in a particular Platform/Product and the FIG data set
Qualifications
  • Bright, fast learners with a strong interest in learning about financial markets
  • Fresh Graduates welcome, with a strong interest to learn and build a career in finance
  • 1–2 years of client services experience advantageous, preferably in finance
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Willingness to work in Makati with night shifts (9PM–6AM) and to work on holidays/weekends (shifting schedules)
  • Amenable to a hybrid work setup
