Responsibilities
  • Supervise Purchasing activities for Corporate, Department Store, Supermarket, Fresh Market, and Pier Receiving Operations.
  • Oversee purchasing transactions, deliveries, and backloads.
  • Monitor cargo movement, shipping transactions, and account approvals.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, accounting, and internal approvers.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all facilities, including staff houses, vehicles, and other assets.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure the proper implementation of staff house rules and policies to maintain order, cleanliness, and a safe living environment.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and recommend employment actions.
  • Coordinate with the People Group on manpower, payroll, and benefits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or any related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing, logistics, or operations management, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate purchasing, retail operations, supply chain management, and logistics/shipping coordination.
  • Experience in coordinating with shipping lines, accounting teams, and internal approving authorities.
  • Familiarity with facilities and vehicle maintenance administration.
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend employment actions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and sound decision-making skills.
