OVERVIEW Reconciliation Payment Specialist ensures accurate and timely reconciliation of financial transactions, particularly those related to payments, by comparing internal records with external data sources and resolving discrepancies. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform account reconciliation - Compare internal records with external statements (e.g., bank, vendor, payroll) to ensure consistency and accuracy. Investigate discrepancies - Identify mismatches and determine their root causes, then resolve them through corrective actions. Maintain documentation - Create and update reconciliation procedures, ensuring all steps are clearly documented for audit and compliance purposes. Support financial reporting - Provide accurate reconciliation data to assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Collaborate with internal team - Work closely with accounting, finance, and operations departments to streamline reconciliation processes and share findings. Ensure compliance - Adhere to internal controls and regulatory requirements related to financial data integrity. QUALIFICATIONS Graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification is an advantage 1–3 years of experience in reconciliation roles, financial services, or large‑scale corporate environments Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) Familiarity with ERP systems and reconciliation tools.
