Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision for engineering, aligning it with the overall business objectives. Provide leadership in driving innovations and improvements, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and high performance. Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives to build a skilled and motivated team.
  • Platform Development: Direct the design, development, and maintenance of robust banking platforms, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability standards. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, assessing their applicability. Hands-on experience with Java, .Net and other technologies. Have a good understanding of CI/CD. Understand microservice, cloud (aws), and Kubernetes well.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, UX/UI, and other cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce best practices for software engineering, quality assurance, and continuous integration to deliver high-quality banking solutions.
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of projects. Regularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • With 20+ years of total experience in IT.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in software engineering.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role, demonstrating strategic thinking and team management.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant technologies, frameworks, and cloud services.
  • Hands-on Java/.Net/Full stack

Communication:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to think strategically and align technical solutions with broader business goals.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications in technology or leadership are a plus.
