About the Opportunity The Platform Engineer combines both software and systems engineering and takes charge of the automation, performance, stability, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure and services for critical investment banking applications. The mission is to KEEP THE LIGHTS ON. The Platform Engineer should have a strong desire to improve systems that are used at a large scale. In this role, you will: Design and build resilient infrastructure to support global financial systems. Automate provisioning and deployment, reducing manual processes. Maintain uptime and monitor system health (availability, latency, performance). Anticipate growth and scale infrastructure accordingly. Test resiliency of IT operations and manage high-severity incidents. Collaborate with vendors on infrastructure inquiries and support. Deploy platform upgrades and major releases. About You: 5+ years industry experience (including 3+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering). Strong background in system architecture, Linux administration, and networking. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, and secure protocols. Knowledge of databases (MongoDB) and configuration management tools. A security-minded approach with an eye for resilience and reliability. Financial services experience (a plus, but not required).
