Primary Responsibilities Level 3 Troubleshooting: Desktop Engineering deep-dive diagnostics and root cause analysis on complex desktop issues involving OS internals, hardware and peripherals DEX Expertise: Utilize DEX Tools to monitor and improve endpoint performance, correlate user experience issues with system changes and proactively address pain points Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts to resolve issues, streamline desktop operations, reduce manual effort and improve consistency Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of desktop systems. User Support: Provide expert-level support to end-users, addressing their technical concerns and training them on best practices Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures and troubleshooting guidelines Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 7+ years of experience in Windows desktop engineering or a related field. DEX Knowledge: Solid background in Desktop Experience (DEX) tools to measure endpoint performance. Proven ability to correlate issues with trends and changes. Practical experience identifying solutions to optimize user experience Technical skills:Deep expertise in Windows OS and troubleshooting tools Proficiency with Unified Endpoint Management tools Practical experiences with DEX platforms Solid scripting skills in Powershell Knowledge of endpoint policies and OS system level logging Analytical Skills: Proven troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis and resolution solutioning Automation: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation Communication: Solid verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a Microsoft centric environment (O365, M365) Experience working in a large endpoint environment over 50k Experience working in a highly regulated industry i.e. Insurance, Healthcare, Banking At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
