Overview

Sr. Training Specialist at Manulife in Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines. The position reports to the Manager of Learning and Development and will design and deliver technical courses and skill-based training aligned to the learning and development priorities of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the execution of business-as-usual, small-scale training programs.
  • Lead or support quick-wins process improvements and initiatives that improve learning and development operations.
  • Lead or support conceptualization, preparation, and implementation of new courses.
  • Work with trainers, consultants and learning business partners to deliver function- or organization-wide learning and development programs or initiatives.
  • Assist in collecting learning metrics and reporting for the function and entire organization.
  • Perform and administer external training by coordinating with vendors to support the learning and development priorities of the function.
  • Facilitate technical courses and high-priority courses to employees and/or leaders.
  • Create and maintain a variety of training documents and aids.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business-related programs.
  • 4–5 years of experience in Learning and Development/OD/Talent and related fields combined.
  • 1–2 years of relevant work experience in managing and executing programs.
  • Experience in process improvement and project management is a plus.
  • Experience in eLearning instructional design is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong program design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Agile project management skills.
  • Ability to proactively respond to situations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (mastery of formulas and pivot tables) and proficiency in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines.
