Overview:
The Acquisitions and Partnerships Marketing Lead will manage the full acquisition journey—from initial discovery to successful onboarding, while also supporting the Business Development team in building relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and industry associations.
This position plays a key part in strengthening Maya Business’ position as the go-to partner for mSMEs, through customized co-marketing programs, targeted retail initiatives, and in acquisition of quality leads.
What you will do:
- Drive new-to-business (NTB) merchant acquisition from organic discovery through Search Engine optimization, paid ads until full onboarding.
- Own digital acquisition strategies that build awareness, capture leads, and target merchants that will be active
- Ensure seamless alignment with sales and CLM teams to maximize onboarding success and activity
- Design and execute GTM campaigns with partners to scale Maya Business product adoption (payments, loans, deposit accounts).
- Monitor partnership health and contribution to merchant acquisition and usage.
- Plan and execute merchant events, retail activations, and industry touchpoints to build visibility and engagement.
- Activate partner-led retail initiatives to increase merchant participation and transaction activity.
- Ensure on-ground presence reflects Maya Business brand consistency.
- Work closely with Brand and Digital teams to ensure partner and activation campaigns are aligned with brand strategy.
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of activations and campaigns.
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Advertising, or related fields
- 4–6 years in digital marketing, growth, or brand management, ideally with fintech or retailer focus
- Proven track record in driving customer or merchant acquisition campaigns
- Hands-on experience in designing and executing GTM campaigns (digital + partner-led) that delivered measurable adoption or revenue impact.
- Exposure to on-ground activations, retail events, or trade promotions, preferably targeting SME or mass market segments.
- Familiarity with data-driven acquisition strategies (funnel management, campaign tracking, ROI analysis).
- Fintech, payments, FMCG, telco, or adjacent industries background preferred, especially roles involving mSME engagement or underserved markets.
- Experience working in cross-functional settings, with strong vendor or agency management a plus
