Position: Financial Controller
Location: Global One, Eastwood, Quezon City
Work Set-up & Shift: Hybrid (Mon-Fri) & Shifting Schedule

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Controller to lead our corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, deep understanding of SOX compliance, and experience operating within a publicly traded company. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintaining a robust internal control environment, and supporting the company’s SEC reporting requirements.

• Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversight
  Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
  Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• SOX Compliance
  Own and maintain internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure full compliance with SOX Section 404.
  Lead the documentation, testing, and remediation of internal controls in coordination with internal and external audit teams.
  Monitor control effectiveness and provide guidance to process owners on SOX compliance best practices.
• Team Leadership & Development
  Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and technical accounting functions.
  Promote continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Audit & External Reporting
  Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors for the annual audit and quarterly reviews.
  Support the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.).
  Coordinate responses to audit requests and ensure timely resolution of audit issues.
• Process Improvement & Systems
  Drive automation and system enhancements to streamline accounting processes and ensure data integrity.
  Partner with IT and Finance teams to maintain and improve ERP systems and reporting tools.
• Strategic Support
  Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions, such as revenue recognition, equity compensation, and acquisitions.
  Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other departments to support business initiatives and strategic planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a public company environment.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX 404 compliance.
• Experience managing accounting operations in a fast-paced and complex organization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Workiva, BlackLine, or other close management/reporting tools is a plus.

• Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or a combination of public accounting and industry experience.
• Familiarity with data analytics or process automation tools.
