Overview

FP&A Manager, Finance Master Data, Transfer Pricing and Business Intelligence – Merck Group, Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines.

Responsibilities
  • People manager. End to end: Recruiting, Training, Engaging with team members, Setting their goals, conducting performance evaluation discussions, addressing employee grievances, getting the best out of employees through coaching & mentoring, initiating career planning discussions, handling separations.
  • Managing KPIs: meeting targets in process KPIs, solving problems when targets are missed, and implementing solutions to bring BAU operations back on track.
  • Finance Master Data management – Masters of GL, WBS, IO, CC.
  • Representing & handling SAP/ERP migrations – requirements, plan for finance master data sanity, validation & migration.
  • Working closely with GPOs & BPEs on migrations and day-to-day process transformation projects.
  • Overseeing the execution of tickets/requests for Finance master data creation & maintenance.
  • Represent FMD delivery operations in Change Control Board (CCB) and review critical requests.
  • Execute internal controls, support internal & external audits by providing proofs, evidences, and handling queries.
  • Transfer Pricing – Overseeing the operations of interfaces of transfer prices between tools/ERPs/systems.
  • Flag any issues, error logs, or critical errors in transfer price to appropriate GPO/BPE/stakeholders on time.
  • Review & approve any new flows (Buy-Sell) in system and facilitate smooth flow of IIPs for inter-company invoicing.
  • Execute internal controls and support internal & external audits with evidence and responses to queries.
  • Business Intelligence – Discuss & review requests on data visualization to produce insights for business stakeholders.
  • Manage the team of Tableau developers and ensure smooth, successful rollout of dashboards.
  • Listen to stakeholders and implement changes; initiate discussions on retire/decommission of unused/obsolete dashboards annually.
  • Ensure reporting tools are up & running as per alignments.
  • Bridge IT technical teams, data management team, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights to end-users.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields, with a focus on financial reporting, FP&A, and master data management.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing teams, with strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, engaging team members, and conducting performance evaluations and addressing employee grievances.
  • Strong understanding of finance master data management, including General Ledger (GL), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Internal Orders (IO), and Cost Centers (CC).
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems, particularly in migrations and data integrity management.
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing regulations and practices, including the ability to oversee the interface of transfer prices between various tools and systems.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau, with experience managing development teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and report on KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in executing internal controls and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.
