Position Overview We’re looking for an experienced assistant controller to build out the accounting function as a hands-on leader and a strategic partner to our finance team and leadership. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact role as the first accounting hire at a fast-growing startup. The ideal candidate must be willing to roll up their sleeves to own day-to-day accounting operations and proactively chart the path for our financial processes and systems to scale with the business. Responsibilities Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger. Process vendor bills, prepare invoices, and review expenses (reimbursements, credit cards, etc.) Administer QuickBooks and optimize accounting systems setup Build policies and procedures to ensure compliance and establish strong internal controls Coordinate with and guide external tax and technical accounting advisors as needed. Lead audit preparation Prepare financial statements and assist with quarterly investor updates Support Finance and leadership with ad hoc analysis and build a high-performing accounting team as we scale Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally a mix of Big 4 and in-house at a high-growth startup. Familiarity with audit processes preferred Willingness and ability to be a hands-on individual contributor to start Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills Base Salary Range $100,000 - $300,000 USD #J-18808-Ljbffr
