Overview

Remote Google Business Profile (GBP) Strategist at Real Time Marketing. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategy, operations, and innovation of the GBP Department, integrating AI-powered optimization, automation, and data-driven decision-making to deliver measurable results for clients.

The GBP Department Head will require a deep understanding of GBP management, local SEO best practices, and AI tools, and will lead a team to achieve growth and performance goals for clients.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strategic vision, advanced technical skills, and strong people management abilities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute the department’s roadmap for GBP optimization, incorporating AI tools to enhance visibility, engagement, and reputation management.
  • Set KPIs, performance goals, and quality standards across the GBP department.
  • Provide insights to the Strategic Director and executive leadership on emerging GBP and AI trends.
  • Leverage AI-driven analytics to improve map rankings, forecast posting strategies, and optimize keyword usage.
  • Implement AI-powered solutions for review management, content generation, competitor analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Stay updated on Google AI advancements and integrate them into GBP strategies.
  • Operations & Delivery
  • Oversee end-to-end GBP management including profile creation, optimization, audits, content scheduling, product uploads, coupon checks, and posting strategies.
  • Ensure consistent accuracy of client business information, timely responses to reviews and Q&A, and compliance with GBP guidelines.
  • Design scalable workflows supported by AI automation to reduce manual workload.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of GBP Managers and Specialists.
  • Provide training on GBP best practices and AI tool adoption.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Handle escalations from high-value clients and provide strategic solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (SEO, Content, Paid Ads) to align GBP efforts with overall marketing goals.
  • Deliver reports and insights to clients and leadership using AI-powered dashboards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in GBP management, digital marketing, or local SEO.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or departments.
  • Proven expertise in Google Business Profile management and AI integration.
  • Familiar with AI tools for automation, analytics, and content creation.
  • Strong knowledge of local SEO, reputation management, and multi-location GBP strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, BPO or digital agency environment.
  • Previous experience in EST management preferred.
