Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of both hardware and software used by the company, including networks and servers
  • Ensure that workstations are successfully connected to networks and be able to access business data at all times
  • Responsible for the configuration of network security settings and connecting peripheral devices for multiple users including printers and scanners
  • Manage the company database storage and guarantee that data is stored securely and optimally
  • Administers and monitors performance, and maintains network server, ERP system, and database
  • Administers ICT infrastructure (computers, telephones, timekeeping devices), including firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes
  • Monitors database efficiency, performs data back-up, and ensures security and integrity of system data
  • Manage information security such as monitoring access logs and building database security procedures, setting up anti-virus programs, developing policies for email security, and performing periodic data audits and backups to prevent information loss and unauthorized access
  • First-level support for ERP system concerns, responds to security or usability concerns, and monitors resolution of ERP system issues
  • Sets up and tests new database, and data handling systems if needed
  • Administers modifications to any existing database software to meet business needs
  • Provides technical support for users, network, hardware, and software concerns
  • Overall in charge of ERP system configuration and assignment of system access roles/authorization
  • Creates query and crystal reports from the ERP system as required by business users

Preferably with experience in:

  • IT Management
  • ERP Implementation
  • Microsoft Productions Enhancement
  • Cyber Security Protocols (Owl Data Diode)
  • Backup
  • Data Communication and Network Infrastructure
  • Support/ Helpdesk (Remote or Onsite)
  • Hardware and Software Installation, Implementation, Support, and Maintenance

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Information Technology
  • At least 2 to 3 years relevant experience as an IT Support staff
  • Knowledgeable in CISCO and net gear wireless routers
  • Experience in FIESTA HMS and SAP Business One is an advantage
  • Good in time management and planning ability
  • Has initiative and decision-making capabilities
  • Approachable and has a positive disposition; eagerness to provide immediate IT assistance when necessary
  • Can start on or before June 26, 2023

Job Description

POSITION PRIMARY PURPOSE

A Desktop Support Engineer monitors and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organization. You will be installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults, and solving technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible in the deployment, installation, pull-out and configuration of PC, Laptop, Printer. Diligently attends to assigned tickets and provides support within the specified SLAs. Regularly updates on the status of assigned service request or incident. Troubleshooting hardware problems, replaces defective parts and makes necessary escalation to the authorized person. Responsible for formatting/cloning of PC, Desktop, Laptops. Network connection configuration, testing and basic troubleshooting. Perform regular checkup of PC desktop/laptop and a like (such as but not limited to defragmentation/virus updates). Escalates problem that requires immediate attention of helpdesk, team leader or appropriate authorities. Performs other relevant tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

A graduate of BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related courses. Has technical knowledge of operation and functioning of Windows Operating Systems. Proficient in hardware/software installation troubleshooting / repair of desktop. Experience in troubleshooting PCs, able to manage IT desktop infrastructure, network cabling, etc. Has knowledge of basic networking concepts, client-server architecture, knowledge of antivirus, server software/hardware setup and backup. Fast learner and can be able to easily grasp new technologies, software/hardware and IT concepts. Capable of following different procedures as per client requirements. Can communicate and track IT activity through remote back-end teams. Good communication, technical, analytical, problem solving and leadership skills. Maintain IT equipment inventory and documentation.

Desktop Support Engineer

Desktop Support Engineer is responsible in repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. Provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for hardware/software problems. When unable to resolve, escalate to 2nd level or 3rd level in accordance to Service Desk processes. Manage service request, software installation, new computer setups, upgrades, etc. Performs general preventive maintenance tasks on PC, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
