Your Role

As a Supervisor, Client Accounting, you will be part of a newly formed team of 10 client accountants with planned ongoing growth, servicing financial services vehicles in the U.S., Cayman Islands, Ireland, Singapore and other offshore jurisdictions.

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare management accounts (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual) for clients such as investment funds, holding companies, aircraft leasing entities and structured finance vehicles.
  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards including IFRS, US GAAP, Irish or UK GAAP.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual regulatory reporting/filings.
  • Provide timely and accurate status updates to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide coaching and training to junior staff.
  • Act in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal risk management requirements, including policies and procedures and internal guidance notes.
  • Escalate business issues to relevant management personnel.
  • Ensure proprietary systems are maintained with accurate data.
  • Respond to internal stakeholder queries promptly and professionally.
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and other relevant parties, responding promptly to requests.
  • Display strong team focus and willingness to assist other team members when required.
  • Ad-hoc projects, including reporting, as required.
What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Degree holder in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional accounting designation is a plus
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience
  • At least 1-2 years of experience coaching and managing junior staff
  • Previous financial services, investment industry or accounting experience strongly preferred

Preferred skills/expertise

  • Ability to handle work/client deliverables with tight deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., SumIfs, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables); Power Query experience is a plus
  • Ability to learn new software and adapt quickly to new processes
  • Team player with good time management, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • High attention to detail with large volumes of financial information
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Maintain and promote corporate values in internal and external activities
  • Adhere to high ethical standards when dealing with colleagues and clients
  • Deliver value to internal stakeholders with high-quality service
  • Respond promptly and professionally to requests for assistance
