The Junior Accounting Officer is responsible for supporting the Accounting Department in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting in day-to-day accounting operations. The role involves handling basic accounting tasks such as recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with payroll, tax, and audit requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Record and post daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
  • Prepare journal entries, vouchers, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
  • Check and process expense reports, reimbursements, and petty cash liquidation.
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements (e.g., BIR filings, tax compliance).
  • Maintain organized accounting files and documents.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the Accounting Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Preferably with 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (fresh graduates are welcome).
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
