About the role

We are seeking a talented Junior Accountant to join our team at ATLASOFFICE, INC. in our Makati City office. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in supporting our Accounting and Finance functions. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks and will have the opportunity to learn and grow within our dynamic company.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure all liabilities are all authorized transactions and properly accounted for in the books of accounts in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all settlements are properly funded through coordination with the Accountants
  • Ensure that all reports to the government agencies are filed and submitted in a timely manner and paid on due dates.

Specific Functions:

  1. Timely processing of accounts payable due to all stakeholders
  2. Timely monitoring of cash advances to employees and timely recording of liquidations
  3. Timely and complete preparation of journal vouchers

  4. Accounting disbursements

  5. Proper preparation of accounts for payment for approval

  6. Timely preparation of check vouchers and checks
  7. Timely and proper recording of all disbursements
  8. Properly monitoring of unreleased checks and reversal of stale checks
  9. Timely stamping of paid and voiding of supports to preclude improper presentation for payment

  10. Act as custodian of used check booklets; ensuring availability of check booklets at all time

  11. Compliance with regulatory agencies

  12. Ensure payment of all taxes due

  13. Timely compliance with related reports

  14. Reporting

  15. Timely release of complete and accurate payable reports

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a small to medium-sized accounting firm or business
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and regulations
