The Senior Accounts Receivables Officer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, managing customer accounts, and supporting cashflow objectives. This role also involves mentoring junior team members, handling escalations, and partnering with internal stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls and effective credit management. Key Responsibilities: Lead the collections process, with a strong focus on reducing overdue debt. Proactively follow up with customers to ensure timely payments. Negotiate and implement payment plans for overdue accounts. Manage high-value/complex customer accounts and handle escalations. Oversee billing and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely issue of invoices. Monitor customer accounts and maintain up-to-date AR ageing reports. Conduct debtor reviews and report on overdue balances to management. Perform credit checks and support credit risk assessments for new and existing customers. Resolve account discrepancies, billing errors, and customer disputes promptly. Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen billing, collections, and cashflow. Mentor and guide junior AR staff in both billing and collections best practices. As required, reconcile balance sheet accounts As required, Reconcile End of Month Bank Statements Utilise multiple inboxes for communication Provide support to the wider Finance group Working Conditions: What will make you successful in this role?
