As a Director, duties & responsibilities will include: Managing a specific service line portfolio or technical area. Managing multiple and concurrent complex projects, possibly with the contribution of cross-divisional/group specialists. Executing projects to a level that meets the firm's quality standards and takes accountability for managing scope and delivering timely and quality deliverables through strong collaboration. Understanding the commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement including managing fee-proposals, overruns and work above budget. Potentially leading a practice management area within the service line, i.e. People, Financial Management or a Market Segment. Simplifying highly complex business situations and strategies to identify key issues and priorities. Negotiating with high levels of discretion with internal or external parties such as clients, government bodies and other organisations. Driving pragmatic and innovative solutions which strengthen business performance and differentiates the company from our competition. To fulfil this role, the applicant will have the following attributes: Deep technical knowledge of and exposure to Australian taxation and accounting legislation and associated requirements. Minimum 7 years' experience working in a similar corporate or advisory environment. CA or CA equivalent qualified. Have a relevant tertiary or post-grad qualification. Demonstrated ability to keep up to date and understand any changes to Australian taxation law and accounting standards. Solid tax and accounting technical / systems capabilities. A client centric approach and ability to understand your clients business. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills will be key as the applicant develops relationships with key client stakeholders.
