Who The Client Is The client is an exciting construction tech startup based in Perth poised for significant growth, serving international construction subcontractors who need to record work that can't be quoted upfront - the essential variations and ad-hoc works that occur on every construction project. Their platform replaces traditional paperwork, digitizing the entire process from initial detail entry through to client signing and billing integration, eliminating manual paperwork and reducing payment delays. At $150 AUD for 50 sheets, the solution represents a low entry barrier for new customers who typically spend similar amounts on paper sheets alone, not including time spent administering manual processes and without the additional benefits the platform provides. The solution transforms how subcontractors document, approve, and bill for variation work, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and improving cash flow. Role Overview This role is critical to our client's significant growth trajectory. We are looking for an exceptional Sales Representative with proven high-volume outbound calling experience who can connect with time-poor construction subcontractors and clearly articulate platform value to these discerning users. You will be responsible for cold calling Australian construction subcontractors across all trades, qualifying leads based on their individual but commonly-faced challenges, and booking them in for product demonstrations with the app founder. This role focuses exclusively on qualification and demo scheduling—not closing deals or running demonstrations. Key Responsibilities Conduct 100+ cold calls daily to Australian construction subcontractors across all trade categories using targeted lead lists Qualify prospects by identifying variation work pain points, manual documentation challenges, and billing inefficiencies Clearly articulate how the platform captures work that can't be quoted and digitises the entire workflow from entry to billing, saving time and money for site and administration teams Book a minimum 10 product demonstrations monthly with decision-makers from qualified subcontractors who have purchasing authority and genuine need Maintain detailed CRM records in HubSpot with qualification insights and follow-up requirements Execute structured follow-up sequences to nurture prospects through to demo booking over 2-3 week cycles Complete comprehensive construction industry training covering Australian subcontractor market, variation work challenges, and platform positioning Utilize CloudTalk power dialer and HubSpot CRM integration for high-volume calling and systematic lead management Participate in weekly performance coaching sessions focused on connecting with time-poor audiences and solution articulation Maintain professional home office setup with high-speed internet, quality headset, and quiet workspace suitable for 100+ daily calls Earn $150 AUD commission for every demo that converts to paying customer in Australia (demos have >90% conversion rate) Commission rates match local pricing for different international regions Monthly pay calculation: Commission earned from new customers minus $1,000 AUD base (e.g., 20 conversions = $3,000 commission - $1,000 base = $2,000 total pay) Qualifications Proven experience in high-volume outbound calling (80+ calls daily) with demonstrated success in lead qualification Advanced English proficiency with ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Australian construction business owners Strong rapport-building skills to connect quickly with time-poor construction professionals Demonstrated ability to understand and clearly articulate technical solutions and construction-related challenges to discerning business users Resilience and positive attitude for high-rejection cold calling environment targeting busy tradespeople Technical proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), power dialers, and lead management workflows Work Arrangement & Expectations This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
