Job Description

The position holder shall undertake the following functions: oversee the Service Department and ensure customer needs are met. Plan, organize, and control operation of the work unit, prepare and secure budget approvals. Manage service operations, conduct ocular inspections, and lead staff meetings. Receive and address customer complaints, maintain good public relations, and study market rates for service offerings. Engage in marketing activities for the dealership, support customer satisfaction initiatives, and monitor the Customer Viewpoint campaign and Quality Care processes. Develop and maintain service personnel, including interviewing, coaching, performance evaluation, and succession planning. Oversee supplier negotiations, purchasing requisitions, and contract administration. Participate in policy and system planning and in committee work. Signing authorities include leave approvals, overtime approvals, department purchases, gatepasses, and related service forms.

Qualifications and requirements include a managerial background in automotive dealership (minimum 5 years), willingness to travel (100% preferred), and prior experience managing service operations, customer service, and supplier relations. Experience details: managerial automotive dealership experience is required; travel readiness is preferred.
