A Glimpse into Your New Role

The Labor Relations Specialist is a critical role within the People and Culture Department with the objective of maintaining and achieving industrial peace. The role focuses on the general administration of company policies and programs, and employee discipline. Ensuring grievance and disciplinary proceedings are performed consistently with company policy and law is a core responsibility. Knowledge of Philippine labor laws and issuances from the DOLE and other government agencies, and keeping abreast of developments, are of equal importance.

This position reports to the Labor Relations Manager and supports the HR Business Partner and HR Advisors in dealing with disciplinary actions or proceedings across various campaigns and departments of the organization.

  • Must be well-versed in Philippine labor laws and other pertinent rules and regulations, including familiarity with company policies and processes, ensuring they are conscientiously complied with and enforced throughout the organization.
  • Review incident reports or complaints against employees; conduct investigations on disciplinary actions; prepare and issue notices such as Notice to Explain and Notice of Administrative Hearing/Conference.
  • Conduct and facilitate administrative hearings/conferences on grave offenses; recommend or determine appropriate resolutions on administrative cases; serve and discuss administrative resolutions/decisions to all concerned.
  • Address labor-related concerns, including counseling and discipline of employees; organize activities and forums that enrich people management and employee discipline; conduct trainings on company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and contribute to constructing company policies; maintain and enhance harmonious relationships between management and employees; prepare status and accomplishment reports; submit reports required by government for compliance.
  • Serve as a critical resource to the HRBPs and HR Advisors in matters of Labor Relations; proactively educate on changes in public policies to keep the organization up-to-date and implement necessary policy updates.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • At least 3 years of experience in the role (preferred but not strictly required).
  • Advanced knowledge in labor laws, including DOLE advisories and related standards.
  • Sound decision-making skills; creative and resourceful problem-solving abilities.
  • Good verbal communication skills; excellent formal and persuasive writing skills.
  • Familiarity with SEnA and arbitration proceedings in DOLE and NLRC (preferred but not strictly required).
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
