Overview

WPP Media handles blue chip accounts such as JFC, Nestle, Loreal, Procter and Gamble, among others. The Payments Team Lead is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient payment processing operations. This role is expected to deliver the KPI and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and achieve common goals. The role will lead the team in identifying and implementing process improvements in the Payments process.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the company's day-to-day cash inflows and outflows to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, salaries, and other obligations.
  • Troubleshooting payment processing issues and resolving them promptly.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Efficiently managing cash balances to maximize returns while minimizing risk.
  • Managing existing debt obligations, including refinancing, restructuring, and compliance with covenants.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Measures of Success
  • Delivering the KPI for smooth and efficient payment process within 3 to 6 months.
  • Achieving accuracy in payment and accrual processes.
  • Establishing excellent working relationships with media vendors and buying teams to facilitate coordination.
