Position Summary:
The core focus of this role is to formulate and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability across the General Insurance (GI) lines of business. This entails close collaboration with key functional units including Products, Marketing, Distribution, Underwriting, Pricing & Actuarial, Claims, and Operations. In addition, the role entails oversight of propositions and product development initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
· Proposition Development and Implementation
o Develop customer-centric propositions and execute programs/ projects for new product development, enhancements, and campaigns.
o Improve sales processes and optimize customer journeys for GI products through collaboration with key stakeholders.
· Category Awareness
o Drive awareness of the GI lines of business by developing a comprehensive communication strategy across target customer segments.
o Oversee all GI-related communications for customers and distributors in collaboration with the Brand Marketing & Communications Team.
· Market Insights and Reporting
o Provide insightful reports on industry best practices, market trends, competitor analysis, and campaign performance to inform decision-making process.
· Stakeholder Training and Support
o Conduct training sessions on various GI Products for internal stakeholders, distribution channels, and strategic partners to ensure effective promotion and sales.
· Technical Support and Management
o Manage product-related issues, ad-hoc requests, and customer complaints, ensuring timely resolutions.
· Partnership Management
o Evaluate partners' customer base and collaborate on business plans covering customer segmentation, sales strategies, and new product/ program development.
· Business Review and Analysis
o Support distribution and partner reviews by creating presentations and assessing performance to provide growth recommendations.
· Performance Monitoring
o Monitor sales reports and KPIs regularly to track achievements and analyze reasons for success/ failure, providing insights for future strategies.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Collaborate with Products, Underwriting, Pricing & Actuarial, Claims Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and success across functions.
Your Profile· Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Management, or related fields.
· 8-10 years of progressive work experience in the Non-Life Insurance Industry, demonstrating expertise in product, marketing or sales management.
· Proven track record of successfully dealing with Agencies, Brokers, Bancassurance, Dealers, and other distribution channels.
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
· Very good communication, presentation, and influencing skills to effectively convey ideas and strategies.
· Proficient stakeholder management skills to collaborate with internal and external partners.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams of professionals to achieve common goals.
· Previous experience in brand management and business development is preferred.
· In-depth understanding of Non-Life Insurance products and market dynamics.
· Background in underwriting and claims is advantageous, but not required.
