  • Representing clients in immigration court proceedings and other legal proceedings related to immigration status;
  • Helping clients complete visa applications or other government forms;
  • Assisting clients with issues related to citizenship, including naturalization applications;
  • Assisting people with filling out and filing necessary documents, providing advice on visa applications, and ensuring adherence to all applicable requirements;
  • Conduct thorough legal research, often exploring precedent-setting cases to reinforce their client's position;
  • Ensure all documents are correctly submitted, including any required forms or applications;
  • Work on all immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters manage and execute the PERM labor certification process;
  • Provide solutions and explain complex immigration concepts;
  • Manage highly demanding and detail-orient immigration litigation process as both a leader and member of legal team;
  • Advise clients and prepare applications for citizenship, permanent residence and employment authorization documents;
  • Process company-related qualification document applications and renewals, handle applications for company licenses, and manage legal documentations pertaining to company shareholders, including corresponding share transfers;
  • Draft and review business-related contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with local laws and facilitating business development;
  • Draft and review contracts and agreements related to the sale and leasing of houses/condos;
  • Providing legal advice and thorough review and assessment of legal documents related to employee contract and employment status;
  • Prepare contracts and agreements negotiated or entered into by the company to ensure legal compliance and protect the company's interest;
  • Undertakes additional task in responsibilities which may arise from time to time, relevant to the post or as may be assigned by the president for corporate affairs;
  • Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliant;
  • Support the HR in terms of Employee relation matters and litigation matters;
  • Track latest updates in Employment Law, assess on impact on the company's existing policy and status;
  • Represents the company in legal proceedings;
  • Protects the company against legal risks and violations;

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • Must have 2+ years of solid corporate business immigration law experience;
  • In-depth experience with employment-based immigration cases, including PERM, H-1B, L-1 and E visa matters;
  • Proficient in legal follow-up and courtroom proceedings for various types of cases;
  • With knowledge and experience in processing of company's registration to other related government agencies such as business permits is a must;
  • Knowledge in updating and processing of SEC and GIS is a must;
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures;
  • Must be proficient in legal research, word processing and document databases;
  • Ability to manage multiple case loads;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, relevant findings, and conclusions using appropriate language, legal reasoning, and organization of facts;
  • Knowledge of immigration case file systems like LawLogix or INSZoom;
  • Research and translation skills to understand filing requirements of various countries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php70, Php75,000.00 per month

Supplemental pay types:

  • 13th month salary
