We are looking for a Lead to manage our Free Trade Agreements team. Whereas this position is based in EMEA, the team is distributed and our employees work in various regions and timezones. We practice and encourage both synchronous and asynchronous types of communication.

As a Lead for the Free Trade Agreements department you will:

  • Lead a team of regulation managers - coordinate and delegate work, conduct trainings, performance assessments, manage conflicts, make staffing decisions etc
  • Act as a product owner - manage stakeholders, identify customer needs, gather and prioritize customers' requirements and lead implementation of the products as per the requirements including product backlog management and product release management
  • Monitor, research and understand on a daily basis international FTAs and PRO data that affect our customers' ability to do international business
  • Maintain and utilize current regulatory expertise to ensure that the PST.AG database of FTAs and rules of origin is up to date and compliant with regulatory changes
  • Interpret information and format data from trade agreements made between countries or a group of countries
  • Follow and understand current international events and regulations related to free trade agreements, updating information from regulations and laws, and implementing it in specific tasks.
  • Understand accurate data formats, data processing procedures and requirements and ensure compliance
  • Update internal controls and procedure manuals following business requirements and regulations
  • Overview the technical workflow with development (tech) team, and be able to manipulate the workflow according to current requirements
  • Coordinate with other departments, assign, manage and complete tasks through effective management of the available personnel
  • Write clear documentation on processes and ensure that the entire workflow is well documented and sufficiently clear for everyone
  • Communicate with international team i.e. technical administrators, developers, data entry specialists, coaches, and management, as well as potentially regulatory authorities and customers
  • Trouble-shoot customer complaints, faulty workflows, missing data, etc.
  • Quickly identify workflows creating incomplete data, authorities releasing poor quality data, etc, and implement solutions accordingly
  • Act as a supervisor for large language models

Qualification:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Foreign Trade, International Business or any other related field
  • Experience in the field of customs tariffs and free trade agreements
  • Minimum 2 years of team leadership experience
  • Product ownership experience and experience communicating with external stakeholders
  • Expertise in reasoning and logic, and data organization
  • Extensive experience understanding and communicating (written and verbal) technical processes and legal documents to people with diverse professional backgrounds
  • Project management and coordination skills
  • Professional communication skills
