The HORNE Philippines Country Manager serves as the primary liaison and representative for HORNE Philippines and other business units for HORNE. This involves operations management, business development, and fiscal stewardship for the company.

Essential functions

  • Manages all operations within Philippines, including profit, revenue, cash, compliance and quality targets.
  • Prepares and/or reviews financial statements or required filings
  • Advises firm leadership on operational, financial, governmental and cultural best practices
  • Prepares monthly reports for presentations to senior management and used in key planning decisions
  • Navigates and guides development of efficient processes and communication in a matrixed management structure to achieve consistency and establish best practices that align with firm and country norms
  • Develops strategies meant to assist the business in meeting its critical goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible
  • Works with senior management to develop country resource and operations strategy.
  • Assumes responsibility for implementing the strategic goals and objectives, giving direction and leadership towards the achievement of the organization's vision, mission goals and initiatives
  • Ensures that all legal and fiscal obligations are met in a cost-efficient way, and in accordance with the Group norms
  • Manages the team of direct subordinates and indirect reports as a good leader, coach and mentor, with constant attention to the career development of key personnel
  • Helps develop business relationships with key vendor(s) to achieve efficient business processes and country revenue and operational objectives
  • Evaluates and recommends changes to policies or procedures.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
  • Maintains a good image of the organization at all times, serving to ensure that firm vision, common purpose and guiding principles are aligned with operations

Supervisory responsibilities

Responsible for managing multiple functions and a set of employees working remotely

Work to be performed remotely (or in office in future)


• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Based on business needs, travel throughout Philippines and US Mainland may be required.

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, Communication, Accounting, Marketing, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business operations and management of people and functions, and solid understanding of financial accounting
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to maintain strong communication with firm leadership and key personnel.
  • General understanding of employment concepts, principles, practices, as well as Federal, State and Local laws and statutes.
  • Skilled in developing relationships and working with team members and business leaders.
  • Able to manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and logical problem solving skills to drive measurable results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in production of business performance reports, which could be on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Ability to travel according to business needs
  • Proven sound knowledge of the strategic issues facing customers in different industry sectors
  • Leadership skills and capable of developing, leading, mentoring and coaching a high performing team
  • Ability to inspire, lead, motivate and influence team members, customers, and senior management
  • A good knowledge base of business operations in both the Philippines and United States, with sensitivity to different cultural norms.

Preferred education and experience

  • Experience with professional services and accounting industry, in addition to the ability to search for more niche skill sets.
  • Experience with US based companies
  • Experience working with a start up operation in a managerial role is highly valued
