Job Description:

The role of Collector/Jr Collector involves overseeing all aspects of debt collection for the company.

The position entails managing a portfolio, ensuring collection targets are met, and is situated within the GBS team at Bonifacio One Technology Tower, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts to execute collection strategies and address delinquent cases
  • Reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), minimize overdue account balances, and enhance current payment percentages
  • Ensure timely collections while upholding ethical and legal collection practices
  • Improve productivity to streamline processes and align with departmental practices
  • Oversee daily collections management, handle collection inquiries, process refunds, review account adjustments, and resolve discrepancies
  • Review the Credit queue, analyze deductions and disputed items, and build strong client relationships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand customer behavior, and support key business metrics
  • Provide support for month-end activities and KPI metrics
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships internally and externally

Key Position Competencies:

  • Preferable experience with SAP/FSCM Collections Module or other major ERP Systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Assertive communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Dedication to excellent customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Problem-solving skills and working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Identifying process improvements to enhance performance and customer satisfaction

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Strong keyboarding, typing, and calculator skills
  • Ability to interpret credit reports and information
  • Knowledge of credit reporting agencies like Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, etc.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in a Collections role, preferably in a B2B setting
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous
  • Previous exposure to North American and European markets is beneficial
