The Business Development Representative I is responsible for responding, identifying, and pursuing new business opportunities or leads while building and nurturing potential client relationships and contributing to the growth of the organization.
What does a day in the life as a Business Development Representative look like?- Responds promptly and professionally to all new business opportunities inquiries via phone, email, or chat
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities within targeted markets and industries
- Generate high-quality leads through various channels, including cold calling, email, social media and other networking events and platforms
- Evaluate leads and opportunities to determine their fit with the organization's target client and ensure they meet minimum criteria
- Initiate and maintain meaningful conversations with potential clients to understand their needs, challenges and objectives
- Conduct in-depth research to create a solid understanding of the organization's products/services and effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients
- Foster a collaborative environment with clients showcasing partnership, communication and engaging conversations on a frequent basis
- Accurately track and manage sales activities, leads and opportunities in CRM software
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Meets or exceeds performance targets for related KPI'sContinuously improves knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
- Collaborates with other departments as neededMaintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
- At least 6 months of experience in a sales, business development representative, or equivalent, preferably in a call center/BPO industry
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficient in using computers and various software applications
