Our VP of HR & Admin needs to have passion for performance and people growth as this role will navigate complex issues of a high-growth start-up, and champion results-oriented approach to ensure business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company's mission and strategic vision.
  • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Work with the company's executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development and compensation and benefits
  • Develop, create, implement and monitor processes to structure HR Admin dept and ensure efficient and successful output
  • Partner with heads of departments to define and identify career paths for employees, and establish performance measurements
  • Architect the company's compensation and benefits offerings to ensure it's fair, legal, and aligned with company strategy
  • Act as a trusted adviser to employees and to the leadership team
  • Build a strategy on attracting, building, and retaining talent
  • Build and scale the people team as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment practices, employee health, and safety, employee relations, etc.
  • Supervise the work of all HR & Admin personnel and provide guidance
  • Act to support the overall functionality of the office/s
  • Oversee HR & Admin operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting and anticipating requirements; align with VP Finance for monetary resources; minimize impact of variances; ensure cost -efficiency

Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree and/or MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience
  • Certification, Human Resource Professional or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
  • Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives
  • Experience in start-ups and growth stage companies is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
