Job Purpose

As an Account Manager - Optical Outright Business, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our business relationships within the optical outright segment. You will work closely with existing clients while also seeking new opportunities to grow our presence in this dynamic market. To oversee and manage a portfolio of optical communication, products and services for business clients.  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field. Proven experience in account management and sales, with a focus on optical or related products. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong understanding of the optical industry and market trends. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Client Relationship Management: 

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients in the optical outright business segment. Understand each client's unique needs and goals and align our solutions to meet them. 

New Business Development: 

Identify and engage potential new clients within the optical outright market. Develop and execute effective sales strategies to capture new business opportunities. 

Product Knowledge: 

Stay up-to-date with our optical product offerings and understand how they align with client requirements. Provide clients with product knowledge and technical expertise to ensure successful solutions. 

Account Planning: 

Develop account plans and strategies for each client to achieve growth and revenue targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of account plans. 

Contract Negotiation: 

Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties. Maintain a strong understanding of pricing structures and competitive positioning. 

Sales Reporting: 

Provide insights into sales performance and trends to support strategic decision-making. 

Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline, and progress toward targets. 

Conduct in-depth analysis to understand the factors affecting sales performance. Create regular sales reports, which may include daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly summaries, depending on business needs. Present data in clear, understandable formats, including charts, graphs, and written analysis. 

Inventory Management 

Inventory Assessment Review the current inventory levels and categorize items based on their importance, demand, and value (ABC analysis). Determine reorder points and safety stock levels for critical items. Inventory Tracking Implement an inventory tracking system (manual or automated) to record item quantities accurately. Conduct regular physical inventory counts to cross-check with system records. Demand Forecasting Utilize historical sales data and market trends to forecast future demand. Reorder Process Set up reorder point triggers for each item to initiate orders when stock reaches a predetermined level. Streamline the procurement process to optimize lead times and order quantities. 

Accounts Receivable Management 

Ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding payments from customers. Establish a friendly yet firm communication process for following up on overdue payments. Send payment reminders and follow-up emails or calls as needed.
