Introduction:
Our client is a leading Australian asset and business finance lender, committed to providing tailored financial solutions to its clients.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Settlements Officer to join our team, ensuring smooth and efficient settlement of finance deals while adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end settlement process for asset and business finance deals, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Liaise with brokers, borrowers, and internal teams to facilitate and finalize settlements.
• Review and verify loan documentation, ensuring all required information and supporting documents are in place.
• Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
• Conduct credit checks and broker accreditation reviews, ensuring that all brokers meet required standards.
• Identify and address any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the settlement process.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each transaction.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed throughout the settlement process.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Confident communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
• Knowledge and experience with AML/KYC compliance regulations.
• Previous experience in asset finance, banking, or financial services preferred.
• Experience with broker accreditation processes helpful.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
