Job Purpose
Generate sales and cross-selling activity to new and current affinity partners, providing support of all sales activities as required to grow revenue from corporate products year-over-year.
Establish, implement, and manage new and existing business relationships with affinity partners and other entities that are engaged in the sale of HMO products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Build and maintain affinity partner relationships to ensure achievement of sales targets.
· Continuous engagement with affinity partners to reinforce relationships, present new product proposals/services.
· Conduct sales presentations to obtain new business.
· Secure client and prospect data for entering into appropriate databases.
· Establish and maintain communication with affinity partners to help resolve problems and provide appropriate service to our mutual clients.
Management
· Work alongside the Direct and Affinity Sales Head to ensure affinity partners are managed and effectively run within specified guidelines.
· Expand market intelligence on affinity partners to drive business forward.
· Oversee workflows for partner accounts, manage partner communications and resolves escalated issues or questions from partners.
· Build and maintain successful relationships with affinity partners.
· Attend weekly, monthly and/or quarterly meeting to report on leads, appointments, sales and account status information.
Product and Providers
· Provide and coordinate new product/service information to partners.
· Establish relationships with appropriate contacts.
Business Development
· Contributes to product research and development.
· Work closely with Operations to design, implement, analyze and deploy new business processes.
· Manage partner relationships to increase business and identify new opportunities for company partnerships
· Track all business development activities, analyze quarterly progress and suggest new strategies
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Must be a college graduate preferably with a course in business or communication.
· Minimum 2 years work experience in sales.
· Experience in strategy formulation, negotiation, product presentation and customer relations.
· Experience in the insurance/HMO industry or financial institution is favored.
· Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
· A practical understanding of affinity sales is important for evaluating new business opportunities and managing the priorities of existing business relationships.
