About the Role:

The Trade Marketing Supervisor is responsible for driving brand visibility and optimizing product performance in retail and distribution channels. The role bridges marketing and sales by planning and executing trade-focused initiatives that influence customer purchase behavior, enhance in-store presence, and support overall sales growth.

Key Responsibilities / Job Description:

  • Plan and implement trade marketing strategies to achieve brand, sales, and market share objectives.
  • Develop and execute promotional campaigns, on-the-ground advertising, and trade activations, event set-up (including ingress and egress) in coordination with the Sales team.
  • Analyze sales and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps, and recommend trade strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with product and brand teams to ensure alignment of national campaigns with trade execution.
  • Ensure all trade marketing collaterals, displays, and giveaways are timely produced, distributed, and properly utilized in trade channels.
  • Monitor competitor activities and generate trade intelligence reports to help refine promotional and pricing strategies.
  • Manage trade marketing budget and ensure effective ROI for promotional investments.
  • Conduct regular trade visits and field checks to assess execution and gather feedback.
  • Support sales channel partners in running co-branded or exclusive trade promotions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in trade marketing, field marketing, brand marketing, or sales support roles (FMCG or Telecom industry preferred).
  • Proficient in data analysis, market research, and using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Creative thinking with attention to detail.
  • Willing to travel and do field work as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in ground-level brand activations, including planning and on-site supervision of events, product demos, or community-based promotions
  • Strong background in below-the-line (BTL) marketing tactics, such as flyering, booth installations, dealer events, and retail partner promotions
  • Skilled in production and deployment of marketing collaterals, including trade marketing collaterals , consumable materials, banners, signage, and merchandise
  • Knowledge of inventory tracking and stock control for trade materials and promotional giveaways
  • Experience in coordinating with third-party suppliers, agencies, or promo teams for activations and campaign execution
  • Ability to develop activation briefs, timelines, and post-activity reports
  • Strong logistical and organizational skills in managing campaign assets and field requirements.
