VFG International Placement is in need of:

  • Carpenters with FLOOR FINISHING experience
  • Carpenters with Masonry experience are welcome to apply

The Right Person will have:

  • Trade Qualified
  • With 5 years education (4yrs High School and 1yr College of Vocational)
  • More than 5 years of experience in the same field
  • Knows how to operate power tools and cutting saws.
  • Be able to measure accurately and manual lifting required on a process line.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred but not essential.
  • Adept in fast paced environment and a team player

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Surface Preparation: Remove old finishes, fill holes, and ensure the floor surface is smooth and clean for new materials.
  • Material Preparation: Measure and cut underlayment and flooring materials like carpet, linoleum, or wood.
  • Installation: Lay various floor coverings, matching patterns and trimming edges around fixtures.
  • Finishing: Sand wooden floors to a smooth finish and apply stain, varnish, sealant, or other protective coatings.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on floor finishing equipment.
  • Quality Control: Conduct final inspections to ensure the flooring meets quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and work in well-ventilated areas.
