We are seeking a dedicated, tech-savvy Registered Nurse (RN) for an onsite Medical Virtual Assistant role. In this position, you will leverage your clinical expertise to provide essential administrative and technical support directly to US healthcare providers. A primary focus of this role is ensuring the highest standards of patient privacy and data security, strictly adhering to all relevant compliance guidelines (including HIPAA).

Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Virtual Assistant, you will be an essential part of our operations team, ensuring efficient patient care and documentation. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Clinical Documentation & Scribing: Assisting providers with real-time charting, accurate medical transcription, and seamless data entry into Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems during patient encounters.
  • Administrative Support: Managing complex provider schedules, coordinating appointments, processing patient registrations, and organizing medical records.
  • Communication: Triaging calls, managing secure communication channels, and relaying vital information between providers, patients, and other staff.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhering strictly to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines and company protocols to maintain the confidentiality and security of all Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Operational Support: Handling preliminary billing tasks, such as insurance verification and documenting service codes.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • License: Must be a currently active Philippine Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Professional: Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Technical: Strong tech-savviness and proficiency in using various computer applications and office software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to demonstrate commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and HIPAA standards.
  • Solid experience in a BPO healthcare account or medical virtual assistance setting.
  • Prior hands-on knowledge and experience with EHR/EMR systems.
