We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive our growth by establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with solar installation companies while simultaneously identifying and closing deals with end-use clients.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the solar installation process, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record in B2B and B2C sales within the renewable energy space. This is a critical role that will directly impact our market expansion and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development (B2B Focus)
- Identify and Target: Proactively research, identify, and qualify potential solar installer partners (e.g., EPCs, residential, and commercial installers).
- Strategic Relationship Management: Initiate, develop, and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key decision-makers within partner organizations.
- Negotiate and Onboard: Lead the negotiation of partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms, and manage the seamless onboarding of new installer partners.
- Support and Growth: Act as the primary point of contact for existing partners, ensuring their success, identifying opportunities for expanded collaboration, and driving referral/reseller revenue.
Direct Sales & Client Acquisition (B2C/B Focus)
- Pipeline Management: Generate and manage a pipeline of potential solar installation clients (e.g., commercial buildings, residential communities, industrial facilities).
- Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments, present customized solar solutions, and clearly articulate the value proposition, ROI, and financing options to clients.
- Closing Deals: Lead the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and final close, meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in solar incentives/regulations to inform sales and partnership strategies.
