Job Summary:
The HR Officer is responsible for providing support in various human resource functions, including recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring, and employee counseling. They ensure that HR policies and procedures are implemented effectively and comply with employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing:
Assist in developing job descriptions and person specifications.
- Post job advertisements and screen applications.
- Schedule and participate in interviews and selection processes.
- Prepare employment contracts and coordinate onboarding.
Employee Relations:
Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive working environment and promote company culture.
HR Administration:
Maintain and update employee records (both digital and physical).
- Process documentation related to hiring, resignations, transfers, and promotions.
- Manage attendance records, leave applications, and timesheets.
Training & Development:
Identify staff training needs through performance reviews and consultation.
- Organize and coordinate internal and external training programs.
- Monitor training outcomes and maintain records.
Performance Management:
Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems.
- Support line managers with performance improvement plans.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and employee objectives.
Compliance & Policies:
Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
- Support audits and other compliance activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar HR role (usually 1–3 years minimum).
- Solid understanding of labor legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- High level of discretion and ethical approach to confidential information.
Preferred Skills:
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with performance management systems and training platforms.
