We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Service Representative (CSR) with a Spanish bilingual background to join our healthcare team. The CSR will serve as the first point of contact for patients and clients, providing exceptional service, resolving inquiries, and ensuring accurate communication in both English and Spanish. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, insurance, billing, and general healthcare services.
- Assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility; provide accurate information to patients.
- Handle prior authorization requests and coordinate with insurance providers when necessary.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Document all interactions accurately in the system.
- Provide clear and empathetic communication in both English and Spanish.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Education: College Graduate
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in customer service; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare management systems (EMR/EHR).
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Okay to work onsite in Eastwood
