Job Summary

The AP Specialist is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable operations—ensuring invoices are processed accurately, payments are made on time, vendor issues are resolved, and proper internal controls are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices and supporting documents
  • Ensure proper coding to the correct General Ledger accounts and cost centers
  • Match invoices to purchase orders (PO) and delivery receipts (3-way matching)
  • Resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal stakeholders
  • Prepare payment proposals and execute vendor payments (checks, bank transfers, etc.)
  • Monitor and maintain AP aging reports
  • Perform reconciliations of vendor statements
  • Assist in month-end closing: accruals, verifying outstanding invoices, etc.
  • Support audit requirements, maintain documentation, and apply internal control procedures
  • Suggest process improvements to optimize AP workflows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in accounts payable / accounting role
  • Proficiency with accounting systems/ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical & reconciliation skills
  • Good communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Integrity and strong understanding of financial controls

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php25,000.00 per month
