Overview

We are seeking a highly organized TaxDome Accounting Assistant to support administrative and operational functions within a CPA firm. The role focuses on managing TaxDome workflows, coordinating client communication, supporting partners with scheduling, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Job Highlights

  • Monthly Rate: 87,000
  • Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm EST (1-hour unpaid break)
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor
  • Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative tasks in TaxDome, including email/chat triage, organizing documents, creating folders, assigning tasks, and following up on pending items
  • Monitor project pipelines in TaxDome and move jobs forward as information becomes available
  • Support partners with calendar management, meeting coordination, and task organization
  • Conduct task follow-ups to ensure timely completion and maintain accountability
  • Handle confidential client information securely and in compliance with firm standards
  • Collaborate with the CPA team to support workflow needs and adjust to varying workloads
  • Communicate with clients to request missing information and ensure timely responses

Requirements

  • Proficiency with TaxDome and Microsoft Office
  • Minimum of 3+ years of administrative experience (accounting or professional services preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with US accounting processes and tax preparation practices is a plus
  • High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote setup (dual screens preferred)
